I haven't really got heavily into any of the FM series for a good few years now but buy them as they still contain enough interest for me to feel it is worthwhile. Which equals out to about 8 hours per pound you pay. The value for money is incredible, on the last Football Manager game I played over 250 hours and I intend to do the same. This game truly brings out the football lover in everyone, and I'm sure if you purchased it you would not regret it. In conclusion, Football Manager is an amazing game for anyone with a passion for football, even if it is just watching the game once in a while. It really feels like a family when you're playing Football Manager. Their dedicated forums is tended to regularly offering lots of support to new players and old. Sports Interactive is unlike many other game developers as they really listen to their online community. The improved challenges are also very interesting, they've added new ones and improved old ones, giving even the masters of Football Manager a sticky situation to get out of. Something FIFA could never really replicate. We then won on penalties which sent the fans into raptures. You really get into the atmosphere too, when Tottenham were 2-1 down to Manchester United in the FA cup final during my reign, the fans were shouting loudly and the players pulled it back to 2-2. The match play is very good, they've boosted the graphics from the previous titles and it seems more like flowing football, you really could sit and watch the games as if it was a real life game. Wages are more structured and more in depth, it truly is magnificent. Another thing I love is the bartering system, no more do you have to agonizingly send offers after offers until they accept, you can now suggest the fee and they also suggest one, until the two clubs find the perfect agreement. Want to loan a player back to his former club after signing him? No problem. The transfers have outdone themselves too, more complex and interesting ways of signing a player are possible. To a first time user, Football Manager can seem quite daunting, all the buttons to push, all of the financial reports that don't make sense, but with the Sports Interactive Tutorials the apprentice can become the master within a matter of minutes. It is easy on the eye, online you can download custom layouts which can suit your every whimsical need. Regarding the layout, they've made it simpler yet sleek, bare yet classy. I've owned the past 3 titles of Football Manager and it has grown by leaps and bounds. I may only be 14 years of age, but this game has inspired me to take a deeper look into the ever expanding labyrinth of tactics, game play, scouting and many other footballing wonders that I used to dismiss as boring. Oh my sweet Mother Mary! SI have out-done themselves once more! Ah as the french say, c'est incroyable! This game is truly going to become an instant hit. If you live outside of the EU, you will not be able to install and play this game. PLEASE NOTE: Football Manager 2014 is EU region locked.
